Dennis Howard is one of Jamaica’s most respected Ethnomusicologists and cultural industries specialist with over thirty years experience in the media and entertainment industry. A veteran of broadcast media, Howard has worked in both radio and television, acting as producer and programmes manager to numerous productions. His notable involvement in print media has secured him added credibility, as he functioned as print editor and columnist at The Jamaica Observer and has earned himself a credible reputation as an entertainment writer.

A Grammy nominated producer, Dennis Howard holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from the University of the West Indies and has an immeasurable passion for the cultural industry of Jamaica, one he has shared on all levels, presenting research and conducting workshops in relation to areas of his expertise at global conferences in nations such as Brazil, the United Kingdom, South Africa and several Caribbean islands. Countless years of involvement in and extensive knowledge of the various industries has afforded him a reputation that results in him being most sought after as a leading authority in the entertainment, cultural and media industries.

Along with the management of his event planning and research company, From Thought to Finish/Jahmento Productions, Dennis Howard recently was a Senior Advisor and Consultant to the Minister of Youth and Sport, Jamaica serves. He serves on several corporate and public boards including the institute of Jamaica, JNN cable news network and the boards of trustee Panafest, Ghana.
